India's Education System
INDIA'S EDUCATION SYSTEM
Thing I hate is most in India is ‘examination’. No, not because I don’t score good marks but because I don’t like system of examination in latter times. Examination is a way of testing a student, how much he/she has achieved, gained and memorized. In exams the ques. should not been asked from chapters but why he/she has read the chapter or what is the significance? And how can we implement it in our daily life. Schools should not provide the dates of examination before hand or even before a day. Only tell that today is the examination that would be the real testing. As per my views I like the CCE pattern followed in CBSE schools which encourage students to gain knowledge not marks. I only think education is to learn what is essential as per our interest, what is happening around us, not merely going to school and gain good marks. Homework should be minimized to the extent possible. You might be thinking that I am becoming childish but I have a logical reason for that. Students just repeat or I should say memorize all the learned concepts of school which make them busy for all the time; they are actually attending school even not going to school. They are not having time to implement those concepts just memorizing all the things again and again without using their minds to solve new problems. They don’t have time to play, and also giving them mental pressure and they feel bored. You would say that’s real hard work some students do to score good marks, but what use of good marks scored after learning all the tricks or solutions from tuition teachers?? Students these days are not having any practical knowledge. They just learn for examination point of view, and to an extent to gain knowledge. But what use of such knowledge if not used in solving problems, creating innovations etc. People (students) these days follow this hierarchy: - school till 10th class; join any of competition coaching institute and leave school; get admission in IIT/AIMS; get a job abroad and earn a large sum of money; be popular. But does this popularity persist for a long time? Do anyone remember IIT topper for the year 2005? NO. Innovations is the need for an hour and even to invent or discover new things. Nobody is bothered about that. We are just following our bosses’ orders. For this thing we need to move outside our houses, explore the nature, and see what problems we are facing around and implement our knowledge in some practical work. IIT or AIMS are not only the institutes which will let you success in life but it’s your mind which will let it happen. All big people did not even attend school or colleges. But it’s their hard work and desire for knowledge and discovery which wrote their names in the book of history.
Who say that they cannot be our next scientists!!!!!!
